Classes run Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each weekend day encompasses two sessions, one in the classroom and one in the pool. For in-water instruction, students must provide their own mask, fins, snorkel, and booties, which are available for purchase from Planet Scuba; the class provides a buoyancy control device, regulator, computer, wetsuit, and personal log book. Trips to Lake Pleasant include five checkout dives, which span a Saturday and a Sunday morning. The lake is located a 2.5-hour drive from Tuscon; overnight accommodation and transportation there and back are not included in this deal.

Planet Scuba
