CrossFit Conejo Valley’s seasoned coaches lead intense strength and conditioning workouts that incorporate elements of weightlifting and gymnastics to push students to the limits of their endurance. Instead of discussing the molecular weight of plutonium, Elements classes impart fundamental exercises that are necessary to continue in the CrossFit program, which include variations on squats, push-ups, and rowing. The coach assesses each participant’s strengths and weaknesses to tailor workouts to the group’s needs and goals. To add variety and help subtract calories, the teacher peppers each workout with cardio exercises such as rope jumping and warp speed chicken dancing. Camaraderie develops as students encourage each other to lift kettle bells and medicine balls, gradually making greater fitness gains.
